Welcome to my Cookie House!
Hi Everyone!
I’m Peyton House, the founder and creator of Cookie House! I started Cookie House in August 2024 out of a passion for decorating and customizing handcrafted sugar cookies. My love for baking began with my mom, who taught me how a small bite of something sweet could bring a smile to someone’s face. Through countless tea parties during high school and the challenges of the COVID pandemic, we discovered how a simple cookie could make special moments and memories come to life.
I started crafting these specific cookies in 2021 after taking a class from a fellow sorority sister, Emily Henegar, also know as “Cookieinthekitchen”. Since then I have honed my skills by making cookies for family holidays and birthdays, in addition to taking 3 other classes from Emily.
I recently graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. After recently making bridal shower and birthday cookies for family and friends, I was encouraged to turn my creations into a side gig. And here we are! To my friends in the Bay Area and across California, I’m an open book!
My Background
Fun fact! Before coming to Belmont, I applied to numerous schools with the goal of pursuing a BFA in Musical Theater. That's how I ended up at Belmont! For two years, I immersed myself in intensive Musical Theater training. While it brought me immense joy at times, I eventually found the commitment and competitiveness too overwhelming. After much thought, I made the difficult decision to switch my major to Corporate Communications, which has led me to where I am today!
The summer before my senior year, I interned with a wedding planning company, where I discovered a strong passion for events. Since then, I've been working in the events industry while also nurturing my love for baking. Instead of choosing one path over the other, I've decided to pursue both! Although events take up most of my time, I wanted to create my small business to continue my craft of decorating sugar cookies.
So please bear with me as I do my best to bring your cookie dreams to life while also balancing my other passions.

Fun Fact #1: I have a Bernadoodle named Guinness who is my absolute everything! Yes, he is named after the beer!
Fun Fact #2: I have tap danced since I was 2 years old in addition to being trained in jazz and ballet!
Fun Fact #3: I love to crotchet in my free time, but I wouldn’t say I am very advanced…
Fun Fact #4: I am a Kappa Alpha Theta!
Fun Fact #5: I was on my high school golf team and have played since I was 5!
